There is a long tradition of open-air concerts and exhibitions held in the spacious grounds of the school for the blind, with the series of events organised under the heading of Kunst & Kultur [Art & Culture] representing one of its highlights. Ottmar Hörl accompanies this year's season with an installation of his Worldview Models, which will be on show until the end of July.
How do we see the world around us? What do we see? Why do we look the other way? Where does imagination actually originate? Will our perspective remain a fragment, barred from getting the big picture in all its complexity? Just as by closing your eyes, you will never ever grasp what it is like to be blind? Via his sculptures, Ottmar Hörl neatly wraps up multifaceted and complex subjects, inviting us to look at mechanisms of perception and worldviews in the 21st century from a brand-new angle.
