To celebrate the 250th birthday of Anna Katharina Emmerick, conceptual artist Ottmar Hörl is presenting an installation of 250 sculptures of the famous nun and mystic from Coesfeld.
Anna Katharina Emmerick was born in Coesfeld in 1774. She is particularly known for her visions and is also called "The Mystic of the Münsterland".
Under the motto "Between Heaven and Earth", Ottmar Hörl shows his sculptural installation in the city centre of Coesfeld from 24. August 2024 to 13. September 2024.
The 250 white and gold sculptures will be exhibited in the office of the "Allgemeine Zeitung" on the last day. Then the sale of the sculptures will also start at a price of 95 euros. Visitors wishing to purchase a sculpture can reserve it from August 24, 2024 in the foyer of the Pressehaus.
The number of reservations is limited to 50 pieces per color.
