Ottmar Hörl took Leonardo da Vinci’s world-famous painting "Lady with an Ermine", on view at the Czartoryski Museum in Kraków, as the starting point for this project. In keeping with this project’s subtitle, "Giving and Taking", he extracted the ermine from the painting and turned it into a three-dimensional art object. St Mary Magdalene Square in Kraków was populated with 1,500 of these multiples.
