100 Schiller sculptures in the colours golden and red are presented by conceptual artist Prof. Ottmar Hörl in front of the town hall in Marbach am Neckar on 10. November 2024. The temporary installation can only be seen on Sunday of Schiller's anniversary.
The city of Marbach am Neckar celebrates Schiller Week every year around Schiller's birthday.
Schiller was born on 10. November 1759 in Marbach. More than 200 years after his death, Friedrich Schiller is still considered one of the most famous poets and dramatists in German literature. Rebellion and the search for freedom and joy define his life and work.
The city is home to the Schiller National Museum, the German Literature Archive and the Museum of Modern Literature.
The sculptures can be purchased at antiquarian bookshop Friedrich and bookstore Taube after the installation.
